“’Where The Summer Goes’ is really an ode to a summer in Brooklyn and a difficulty I faced in a  personal relationship. That moment where you realize what you thought you had was something different than what it actually was, and trying to rationalize that- unsuccessfully. The frustrations inevitably outweighed the positives in this specific situation, but overall the song is about being okay with that and finding comfort in yourself. It was a hard time for me, but when I look back at it I feel a lot of hope and happiness in my ability to overcome that feeling of regret and failure, and view it now as neither.”
