Multi-platinum rock outfit Shinedown issues a dystopian warning with the release of their new single “Planet Zero.” The new song is the official title track for their upcoming 7th album due out April 22nd on Atlantic Records.

“If we shut each other down and allow ourselves to be divided by the information we consume and the way we talk to each other, we lose our humanity. When you look outside of your phone, you’ll see there are so many people doing good things and trying to take care of each other. But we’re starting to see parts of society slip into an unknown. Planet Zero was written for all of us. The fact is that we’re all here on this planet no matter what, so it’s time to actually move forward together with empathy, perseverance and strength. Planet Zero was recorded during the pandemic and once again produced by Shinedown’s Eric Bass’ at his brand new Big Animal home studio in South Carolina. Watch the official lyric video for the song below.

The upcoming new album is the band’s follow up to their 2018 album ATTENTION ATTENTION. Brent and Eric caught up with Rob Herrera during their tour in support of the album to talk about the creative process. Watch the interview here.
